Visco's Pizza on Vley Road in Scotia is one of the better pizza parlors that I've come across in my years living around the Capital District. It's a no frills type of pizza place, but they get pizza right, which is a plus. The prices are reasonable and the slices of pizza are ginormous. Having two slices of cheese pizza can fill you up for lunch and dinner.
There's a lot of choices in the area when it comes to pizza, but perhaps because it's in a lesser trafficked area, this place is a hidden gem. I'm certainly checking out this place again. -

One of my favorites in scotia. The buffalo chicken pizza is amazing, the slices are huge and the people are fantastic!

Ridiculously hard to find true NYC style pizza (taste and texture) in the capital district. Today's cheese slice came darned close. I'll be back! BTW -- the slices are large.

This neighborhood pizzeria serves up the best thin crust pizza I've had in Scotia! Located at the corner of Vley Road and 5th Street, this pizza shop is cozy and has an order counter and a couple tables for eating in.
Visco's pizza slices are HUGE and a slice of cheese is only $2 each and a one topping slice is $2.25 each. One slice is very filling and a meal in itself. The crust is very crisp on the bottom and light and soft inside. The pizza is on the greasy side since the slices have generous amounts of melted Grande mozzarella cheese and a thick pizza sauce. This is great tasting pizza done right!
Besides pizza, they also serve up a variety of appetizers, wings, salads, subs, calzones, Italian dinners, RC Cola products, and soft brownies. The prices are pretty reasonable.
Recently, I stopped in at Visco's to order dinner takeout and I was going to order a Lasagna Dinner, but they did not have any. Instead I decided to order an Eggplant Parmigiana Dinner ($8.95 plus tax) served with salad and bread, which was ready in about 20 minutes.
The Eggplant Parmigiana was oven baked in a dinner sized foil container with round breaded eggplant slices with lots of hearty tomato sauce and topped with generous layer of melted mozzarella cheese. This dish did not have any pasta, but instead all breaded eggplant (some breading coming off the eggplant slices). The side salad had fresh romaine lettuce, cucumbers, black olives, green peppers, chopped tomato, shredded cheese, and a side of zesty creamy Italian dressing. The soft bread was nice and warm. The eggplant dinner was pretty good, which was very filling and tasty. Hopefully, I can some lasagna with my pizza slices on my next visit.
Great tasting pizza done right and tasty food offerings! -

Ordered $200 worth of pizza, wings, and salad for a larger family dinner. Got the 24" pizzas, which makes for foot long slices! The crust was thin and typically NY style. Toppings were fantastic and sauce was great. The lady behind the phone was very helpful with the large order. The delivery guy was also nice, he apologized for the long wait (took about an hour for 6 pizzas, 3 dozen wings and salad) but they told us it would be that long so we expected to it. The wings are breaded, so depending on your preference this could be ok or not. Salad was standard tossed salad with Italian dressing.
